Early Intervention in Reading has limited evidence of effectiveness for struggling readers. The one qualifying study included in this review showed an effect size of +0.82.

About Early Intervention in Reading

Early Intervention in Reading is a supplementary intervention in which third and fifth graders receive instruction in multiple meanings of vocabulary words. The supplementary instruction takes place twice weekly for 20-30 minutes.
