Beginning Reading

Early Reading Research has limited evidence of effectiveness for beginning reading. The one qualifying study included in this review showed an effect size of +0.54.

About Early Reading Research

Early Reading Research is a whole-class reading program in which children are taught as a whole class, rather than in small reading groups. Teachers are given professional development in structured, systematic methods of teaching phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, comprehension, and oral reading.
